This Stratagene Beta Container is rather strange looking> There is a hole in the top for inserting something(perhaps a thermometer) There is a clamp on the inner piece that you activate my pressing to hold whatever it is that you insert. I'm sure your lab need one of these!

Works great! I used it with a Fieldpiece pipe clamp thermometer after I lost my Fluke Pipe clamp. After cleaning my service truck out I found the other thermometer so now this is just a redundant tool in my inventory.
