Up for auction is a Tomar 25W coded preemption emitter in good working condition. This unit is used to override traffic lights for emergency vehicles and mass transit vehicles. This unit can do both High Priority (14Hz) and Low Priority (10Hz) preemption signalling. High Priority is used for emergency vehicles, which interrupts the timing cycle and gives the emergency vehicle a green light within seconds. Low Priority is used in mass transit agencies to shorten the timing cycle of the light to avoid being late. This unit is coded, which allows a vehicle unit ID and classification to be entered for newer preemption systems. This emitter will also do Neobe and Hyperneobe patterns when preemption control isn't necessary and has a parking brake cut-out feature to turn off the strobe when exiting the vehicle. The power supply is potted in epoxy which allows mounting in any environment, including wet locations. Auction includes a PAR-36 sealed beam strobe lamp with mounting bracket. This is super easy to install, apply 12V to the unit and add a switch to one of the control wires and you are ready to go! This unit should be used by authorized persons only and the seller will not be held liable for its misuse. The bidder agrees to these terms when purchasing this item. Thanks for looking and good luck!
