TRADITIONAL DOVETAIL TIMBER HOUSE/CABIN Eco friendly houses that are built using a combination of traditional techniques and innovative materials. All our structures are built using air dried, winter felled white pine. Our houses/cabins will never shrink. We use massive, premium 8 1/2”x16 1/2” square timbers. These structures are built for cold Canadian climate. We have well trained, experienced and passionate craftsmen. It may be either a house or a cabin. You can get an idea of costs, materials and quality of our work. The model can be seen in Ottawa, Canada. The house is 30’x38’. Ceiling height is 9’6”. Space between logs is 2” for chinking. Logs are treated and protected with Timbertec. Logs are connected using a lap joint and 1” bolts. Holes will be capped with plugs when assembled. Corner notches are traditional self locking half dovetails. Price is $30,000CAD FOB Wakefield, QC (20 min away from Parliament buildings in Ottawa, Canada). This structure can be modified to your specifications. Square footage, wall height, door and window openings can be modified as well. Erection costs, for walls only, is $5,000 CAD plus travel and lodging. You can hire a local contractor to put walls up. All logs are numbered. With our easy to follow diagram, assembly is done in a few days. Canadian buyers pay GST and PST or HST depending on your Province of residence. American buyers don’t pay any Canadian sales taxes. There is no duty because our houses built in Canada and fall under NAFTA. You may be subject to your State sales tax. Take advantage of low Canadian dollar. Current exchange rate is approximately 1USD=1.20CAD. We may accept American dollars as a payment. All our prices are in Canadian dollars. Architectural drawings are provided. A customer is responsible for obtaining a building permit. Lead time is 4-6 weeks after signing a contract and receiving a deposit.
