TRIPLETT Signal Generator Model: (3432) Hello!! and thank you for looking at my item. Up for bids is a used and Triplett Signal Generator manufactured by the Triplett Instrument Co in Bluffton Ohio around or about 1951 or so. Unit appears to be in good condition with acceptable usage and wear marks. The unit was not fully tested but given a detailed inspection. I plugged in the unit and switched it on. The dial indicator light came on and it did not blow my garage circuit. A little bit of paint is chipping off in various places on the unit. The dial indicator on the front is in tact and moves when the tuning button is turned. The carrying strap on top is in great condition. The unit is clean on the inside with no burn marks or burn smells. All of the original buttons and knobs are present and are in good working order. They line up properly with the settings. The unit contains 2 tubes. They were removed, tested and reinstalled (1ea 6J5-tested good and 1ea 6X5GT-tested good). Operating manual, probes and test leads are not included. The original cost back in 1951 was around or about $78.00. Unit has the serial number of “4887”. I'm sure it would make a great piece for any vintage electrical test equipment collection.
