Trock Head Plate.I purchased new, then modified to go on a D1-6 spindle lathe nose.Take your chuck off, then simply put the head plate on,NO SETUP.I took a D-6 3 jaw chuck, pulled out the guts and faced it down to my desired thickness.I then bored my center hole.i then put the trock plate in a 4 jaw chuck and machined the spigot to my desired diameter to press fit it into the 3 jaw chuck. In other words the spigot on the plate now had a step macined on the diameter.I then made a aluminum sleeve out of billet 6061,and pressed it on first, then pressed the head plate into the turned 3 jaw chuck,Then bored 3 bolt holes into both pieces tapped @3/8 x 16 to bolt both together for even more strength. Results = a plate you simply put on your camlock lathe and it has .001 radial runout and less than .001 perpendicular to the lathe bed.I took a .005 skim pass across the plate face before the first use.Now you just put it on the spindle nose and go.Shave, chamber work, whatever,it's setup ready to work.I turn at 350 RPM's no vibration, just smooth cuts.whew, i guess i described that somewhat coherent.Fits all EVO and TWIN cam if you enlarge holes for TC.S&S,they all fit.I use a little W-D 40 and the finish is great. This is a money making fixture. Thanks for looking Chris. Froo www.froo.com | Froo Cross Sell, Free Cross Sell, Cross promote, eBay Marketing, eBay listing Apps, eBay Apps, eBay Application
