This is a unique thermocouple Panel Meter that direly reads a Type K thermocouple. The Red pointers can be adjusted to close contacts when the meter rises above or falls below specified setpoints. You can see in the pictures that at a 500°C meter reading the voltage with the specified 10ohm resistor in series is 21.3mV which closely matches the type K specifications. The meter includes a short thermocouple that does work. You can easily change it out for a more accurate or longer thermocouple. Both the upper and lower contacts open and close with a closed resistance of about 100ohms. The brass contacts on the back of the meter should probably be cleaned up a bit with a bit of steel wool to get a good connection when you hook it up. Meter has a nice parallax mirror to get accurate readings. The face has a few scratches, but not bad. Some of the blur in the pictures is dirt I forgot to wipe off before I took the pictures. With a little TLC this meter would look like new.
