READ BEFORE BIDDING! I looked up the serial number and the date I got was early 40`s for a westinghouse fan. It weights a little under four pounds. This motor has a U.S. Navy symbol on it (see pictures). The Design number of the motor is 1232362. I recently lubed it and it the motor runs so quiet it`s practically silent. It does not specify the rpm count but it must be enough for a fan blade. I am not sure what type of motor this is. I do not think it has brushes. It looks like it is a miniaturized induction motor because it starts slow then spins fast. The shaft of the motor is 7.81 mm (.307 inches). Other features include:  Minimal wear to original finish it has bolt covers to protect the threaded rods over all very sturdy and its design is wonder, the W (for westinghouse) on the back is a nice touch but the Navy symbol as well.  The plug has an acorn design around it (maybe the original plug adding to its value) Even if you have no use for a motor this is a great collectors item. The only flaw with this motor is that it looks like a metal rod the was connected to the bottom of the motor has been cut of.
