The motor specs are 1/3 hp, single speed, split phase, 115 volts, 60 cycle, 1725 rpm, model number SC 2415, and built in the USA. Dayton, OH. Delco Electric Motor, a division of the General Motor Corporation. I am thinking this was made in June of 1967 according to the bottom right hand corner of the instruction manual. I got this from an older lady at an estate sale, she said it was her dad's, but he never used it. I was going to use this motor for some wire wheels or buffing wheels, but the wiring and directions to get it running and/or attach a regular 3 prong plug are mind boggling to me! So I figured someone out there with some electrical skills might want this. What's cool about it is that it has 2 separate spindles, and they are ground flat on one side to accommodate set screws. One thing I did to it was remove some minor surface rust on the edge, (see photos) probably from sitting for so long. Anyway, I've described this item to the best of my ability, and I unfortunately couldn't find any information on it from the internet. I would have kept it if I knew how to wire a plug to it, but I wasn't going to waste my time or money trying to find someone to do it for me.
