  Menlo Park blocks     I am offering a kind of unique set of machinist blocks - one of which has stamped  Cook Research Institute - Menlo Park.  This was the famed invention factory started by Thomas Edison.  Not sure these would date back to those times, but not too far removed I would imagine.  I would love to be able to tell you the story on these, but all I know is they came from a local machinist shop that had been in business forever.  A couple of these are showing some damage - they most certainly have been used for their intended purpose - but for the most part everything seems acceptable.  The outside of thebox somehow escaped my cameras eye, but it shows typical patina and rustic look you might expect, no damage of note to the wood case.  Please see photos.     Please see my other listings!  Shipping for this item will be FREE to the lower 48.  Winner should contact me within 48 hours of auctions end with payment details if immediate payment is not made.  Payment must be received within 7 days or item will be re-listed and non paying bidder will be filed.   How I do business I ship items multiple times weekly.  If an auction ends on Sunday night and you pay immediately, your item will likely go out Monday or Tuesday.  All electronics are sold as is.  I do not sell damaged electronics without full disclosure.  But buyers should be aware that there are inherent risks in shipping old electronics across the country.  I pack my items very well, and am in no way responsible for any damage that occurs between packing and receiving.
