This microscope is used to compare the stratification's on bullets. It was owned by a gunsmith. a bullet is placed in both clamps and they can be viewed in a single image through the eyepiece. I think it dates from the 1950's The electrics have been checked and rewired but some of the lenses could do with a clean. It can operate on 240v or with a simple re-soldering 110v. There is a slider at the top that changes single view into double. This has a brass piece fitted. I suspect this originally had a plastic knob.
