Watts ST-300 Theodolite Transit (10 second) Very rare, 1972 (ca) 'Watts ST300' microptic theodolite designed and made by the Metrology Division of Rank Precision Industries Ltd formerly Hilger & Watts (E R Watts). This was the last roar from the British theodolite maker. From what I understand the ST-300 is the only UK manufactured theodolite that ever incorporated automatic indexing. Won the British Design Council Awards for Engineering Products in 1973 You will not see many of these around (if any) and is a must for a serious collector Erect Image, automatic vertical compensator Instrument accuracy: 10 sec direct reading and estimate to 2 sec Compensator range: ±5 minutes of arc Condition: The item is in good used condition for its age but has not been calibrated.
