Wavetek 3600D Cellular Test System The 3600D Cellular Test System offers simplicity of operation with a one touch automated test button, allowing unskilled personnel to run a complete Go/No Go test of a cellular phone. Tests are displayed on a large easy to read LCD display with soft key driven screens that provide a complete summary analysis of analog or digital performance to improve repair and testing times. The display has technician selectable inverse video capability. The 3600D allows for reprogramming channel parameters, base and mobile transmit power levels. Test Set features can be directly loaded into the 3600D via its PC compatible disk drive. Increased flexibility is provided with a cross point switch that controls the input and output of internal generators and filter combinations. * Frequency Range of824.040 MHz to 848.970 MHz in 10 kHz steps with an extended range of 1850.04 MHz to 1909.98 MHz * Power Range -20 dBm to +40 dBm * Cable loss calibration function - enables the most accurate power, SINAD, and level dependent Bit Error Rate (BER) measurements in the cellular industry * Large, easy to read screen * Cross Point switch that controls the input and output of internal generator and filter combinations * Two internal generators 10 Hz to 100 kHz programmable in 1 Hz steps Option CDMA Communication Standard CDMA testing provides call processing including softer and hard hand-offs, power control, waveform quality, OCNS and AWGN sources, and optional Voice Codec Upgrading the 3600D is easy. With the new CDMA module, technicians can perform call processing, transmitter tests, and receiver tests. Built in AMPS and NAMPS protocols are standard, while PCS coverage is provided with an optional FEX module. Based upon requirements of IS-95A and J-STD-008, the 3600DaЂ™s extensive call processing capabilities include registration, authentication, and softer and hard handoffs. In the critical area of power control, closed loop and open loop power control are supported. Speech coding can use pre-recorded, loopback, or an optional 8K/13K Vocoder to check voice quality. The 3600DaЂ™s signal generator provides pilot, sync, paging, and selectable traffic channels. An Additive White Gauss Noise source with 30 dB troubleshooting range allows real world receiver testing. The constellation display shows the symmetry of the modulator and checks for skew and origin offset. Residual r is better than 0.97 for confidence in receiver testing. Highly accurate, the transmitter analyzer provides power measurements of A±0.65 dB +0.003 dB/dB (below +40 dBm) over temperature. The high r accuracy is A±0.003 is ideal for phone troubleshooting nonlinearity or amplifier defects. Item is in nearly new working condition.
