I have a 1978 Wells Index 700 Vertical Mill for sale. This mill was originally a CNC machine so it has ball bearing lead screws for all axis. Hand scraping still highly visible on ways. I fabricated a quill handle for it and made cranks to be used as a manual mill. This would be the perfect foundation for a CNC conversion although I have used it for 3 years in its current configuration. A CNC conversion were my plans but I just purchased a vertical machining center and no longer will need this.  **This is a fully operational machine as it is and will be used daily up until it sells. *Variable speed head 42-4200rpm *2 Hp motor *Ball screw lead screws *Spindle is kwik switch 200 *9x48 bed *220v 3 phase, *VFD on mill is not included in the purchase price unless negotiated prior to sale. Comes with 2 acura flex collet holder tools, about 10 common sized collets, vise, and 1/2" drill chuck. Basically everything you need but the mills/drills to start basic machining. Call Josh at 740-816-7818 for any questions.
