These were custom manufactured by a local machine shop for a remote controlled camera  project.  They are made in a heavy (1/8 inch u-channel aluminum frame, and assembled with 100% steel and aluminum parts.  They are fitted with a 5k ohm type 381 Clarostat potentiometer for each axis, ready for circuitry. This controller is fully adjustable for centering and offset both mechanically and electrically, and are presently set for spring return to center, but  the spring return  position can be adjusted to any point in either axis.  The springs can be completely removed if desired. The actuator is 2 inches in length, and fitted with a knurled custom metal knob.  The overall assembly (less actuator height) measures 2.25 inches square by 1.5 inches deep. The top plate has pre-drilled mounting holes.  8 units are available. They are  not plastic junk.  They are very well made of all metal, and were originally $325 each to manufacture in 100 quantity..
