The stock Sherline motor is a good motor, however you may have noticed that it could really use more power...how about a boost to 1,000 watts (requires 220v)! That’s nearly twice the power. Plus, its High Torque at any RPM. Imagine using a 1,000 Watt High Torque Industrial Continuous Duty Brushless Motor on your lathe or mill. The motor RPM is 3,800. Of course, your final spindle RPM will depend upon your pulley ratio. What you get: •1,000 Watt High Torque Brushless Continuous Duty Motor (fan cooled) •Same weight as stock motor, but with much more power •Complete bolt on replacement mounting kit •Only need to drill and tap 2 holes to mount (3/8 bolts included) •Brushless controller with 4 digit motor tachometer showing motor speed (reads in 100 RPM increments) •Remote wired controller •Remote wired ON/OFF switch •Simple knob speed control •Motor RPM 3,800 •Motor is reversible through the controller •AC 220 volt required What you need to know: The motor comes with a pulley (80mm or 90mm, smaller high torque sizes available). You can either make a pulley for your mill/lathe, you can buy a "taper lock" type pulley or we can sell you one. Some prefer to use a timing pulley setup. The motor shaft is 15mm with a 5mm key.
