For sale is one battery operated (Optical) Photo Tachometer. Manufactured by Yokogawa Electric Works, Tokyo Japan. Made in Japan. This unit is powered by 2 x 1.5 volt 'C' cells and 1 x 9 volt type 216 battery. (commonly available in supermarkets). It works by reflecting a beam of light off a piece of reflective tape affixed to the device that you wish to measure the tachometer speed of. The meter is a beautiful analog meter with several scales and a battery check function. The unit has a 'button' which also doubles as a range selector (press 1 for 1st range (.), press twice for 2nd range (..), press four times for 3rd range ) Together with the mode/rpm selector switch, the following scales are selectable for this meter. 0 - 5,000 rpm 0 - 10,000 rpm 0 - 20,000 rpm 0 - 1,000 rpm 0 - 2,000 rpm 0 - 4,000 rpm 0 - 200 rpm 0 - 400 rpm 0 - 800 rpm. Case is made of a grey high quality ABS like/style plastic. Case has no cracks or damage. Comes complete with (detachable) carry strap. Housed in a blue velvet lined carry case.
