This is a 5" 4-jaw self-centering (scrolling) chuck with a 5C collet mount/arbor. Unlike the little 3 and 4 inch 3-jaw models that are seen everywhere, this is a real chuck. The jaws have the size and depth to hold the toughest project. This is nearly a unicorn as 5" 5C chuck mounts are just not available anymore and are very pricey if found used. The chuck itself appears to be Chinese made and has inner and outer jaw sets that have no wear or damage at all. I have used the chuck 3-4 times on my Hardinge HLV-H when collets just wouldn't do, and it runs true and holds very tight. I am not sure of the maximum openings with each jaw set though.
