This is an original antique handwritten letter on the elaborate illustrated letterhead of the Cairo Iron Works of Reed & Mann of Cairo, Illinois.  This is a single sheet with a large vignette of a steam engine dated December 21st,  1868.  The letter is signed Reed & Mann and appears to be a letter advertising the firms services to a prospective customer in Shubata, Mississippi.
