Self adhesive, Acid-free Book Repair Tape - filmoplast T Very simple to use, only basic skills required Available per metre 3cm width - ?3.49 5cm width - ?4.25 8cm width - ?5.25 Use the drop down menu to select your colour and width choices This tape is sold per meter (enough to repair up to 4 or 5 standard-sized paper back books) What does it do? If you want to repair a damaged book spine or strengthen a favourite book before it falls to pieces then this is the product for you. It can also be used to strengthen and repair the join immediately inside the book cover although our filmoplast SH tape is the best product for this repair as it's thinner. You can also use this tape to make repairs to large maps and documents when applied to the reverse. It is widely used to seal the back of picture frames to reduce the chance of dust and dirt ingress. How does it work? This is a self-adhesive book cloth. It's made with an acid-free rayon tape backed with a strong, neutral pH adhesive. Why is this the best product to mend my book/document? This tape is acid-free. This means that unlike normal off-the-shelf tapes like sellotape or other self-adhesive book cloth tapes it will not go yellow and brittle and is very easy to apply. Other side effects of using acidic products are that the acids from these items can seep into the material you're trying to mend and cause further and often irreversible damage. It is a much friendlier and longer lasting product than standard adhesive tapes. The tape can be easily trimmed to the correct length and width using scissors or a craft knife. Once applied you should use a bone folder or similar tool to smooth and apply the material. Postage and Packaging Your item will be sent appropriately in protective packaging.
