HUGE 5 inch round Bicron BC412 Premium Plastic Scintillator Material Actual size is 4-7/8" diameter by 2-1/4" thick Pre-Cut Round with Polished Faces Bicron BC412 Scintillator Plastic. Couples very nicely to a 5 inch Photomultiplier. This material is a Premium Plastic Scintillator Material tested and guaranteed to work for radiation detection when coupled to a PMT and built into a probe. This is the same material I use when building my own detectors. Don't even think about trying to cut one this size on your own! The cutting and polishing of this plastic can be very difficult and costly without the proper knowhow and equipment. Unless you’re going to build dozens of probes, buying a round precut piece from me is much cheaper (and easier) than trying cut and shape it yourself. The item comes with instructions for use with photomultipliers and building your own detector. Your Plastic Scintillator comes complete with instructions for use and how to use it to build your own scintillator detector. Dimensions: Diameter (Face) = ~4-7/8” 123mm Sides = 2-1/4” 57mm Attention school teachers and students. These are excellent for science and physics projects, experiments and term or research papers.
