Low Tension Coil For Ignitor Equipped Gas Engines

This is a new Low Tension Coil that can be used on your Hit and Miss ignitor fired engines. For use with 6-12 volt DC only. These small coils have been our best seller. The particular one though has a knot in the wood which makes this coil unique in its own way. So we decided to just put this one up for auction rather than a fixed price and you can see what you're bidding on. The wood end pieces were cut from the same piece of wood as you can see by them laying next to each other in the one picture. The knot/flaw does not alter the performance of this coil in any way.                  Brass and Stainless hardware is used to hold the coil together. These materials are used so they won't distort the magnetic field built up around the iron core, in turn giving a better uniform field that will collapse only around the windings when your ignitor points open.        It has a 4-1/2" Long by 2-1/2" Wide foot print and is 2-3/4" tall. The shorter the coil is better than long coils due to the fact the magnetic field is denser when this coil is energized. This coil has 5-6 ohms so it won't burn up the points in your ignitor. Ohms is a very important issue in protecting your points from burnning out prematurely. It is wound with constant tension with 100% copper wire. Wood frame is made of solid Oak, connection terminals are Brass. The 1/2" iron core inside was sprayed with an insulative material and allowed to dry before the first layer of wire was put on. Each layer of wire after that has an insulative material between them. With the wood base it can easily be mounted on to a skid or a cart with or without a bracket.           If you would have any questions concerning this item please contact me. Thank you for looking!
