Guide rail mounting bolts for the Delta Unisaw. This sale is for a set of four (4) BRAND NEW mounting bolts for securing the 1 3/8" fence guide rails to the edge of a vintage Delta Unisaw table. This socket head style bolt is a much improved design as compared to the OEM screwdriver slotted rail mounting bolts provided by Delta. The bolts we provide are 3/8" stainless steel socket head capscrews as compared to the carbon steel screwdriver type slotted bolts that Delta orginally supplied. The bolt head is machined to match the radius of the rail and a custom spacer is added to the bolt to match the depth of the OEM bolt. The OEM slotted bolts have several drawbacks: Carbon steel bolts tend to rust and the threads can become seized. It can be difficult to get enough leverage on a screw driver to remove the slotted bolts. With too much force, the side of the slotted bolt head can break off. A new style bolt is shown along side an OEM bolt in the third picture. The fouth and fifth pictures show the OEM bolts and hardware as well as a close-up of the slot as compared to the hex socket shown in the close-up of the stainless bolt. These socket head bolts replace only the OEM bolts and require that you reuse the original round or square-to-round spacers that go between the rail and the saw. The four spacers that must be reused are shown in Photo # 4. The kit consists of the four (4) custom machined stainless steel Allen head bolts with integral internal rail spacers, two (2) stainless steel lock washers, and two (2) Grade 5 zinc plated 3/8-24 nuts. The saw's rear rail bolts do not require lock washers or nuts, since they install into tapped holes in the table casting.
