This auction is for unmachined ductile iron castings & machining plans to build the Type SB1 four-stroke engine shown above & in the video below. This is a fairly simple & straightforward engine to machine & build & it is a great project whether a beginner or experienced machinist. A lathe & mill are needed to machine the castings & make parts to build this engine. The castings being sold provide the main pieces of the engine & are shown in last picture above. The finished engine has a 7/8” bore x 1.25” stroke. It has a 5-1/2” diameter flywheel & the base plate measures about 7" x 10".  The engine was designed & patterned off an original 1930’s era model gas engine (shown in the pics & video above). The engine has a simple & clean look to it & its basic design offers the builder a lot of options to customize it if they want. Hardware for this engine does not amount to much & is not included. Gears for this engine are not included but a supplier for them is given in the plans. If the builder has a set of 2 to 1 gears close to the size needed, the engines basic dimensions can be changed to fit the gears. The finished engine shown in the pictures & video does not come with this casting kit. The unmachined castings weigh about 25 lbs. so the final shipping weight will be around 28 lbs. Please email about any questions.  Thank you, -Nick Rowland 6252 Johnston Rd. New Washington, Ohio 44854
