I bought this 24" caliper a number of years ago to use in my own shop. In that time I have only had to use it a few times and at this point I don't even want to work on anything that big. These are in excellent shape and are in the original box.
Sheets are lightweight, half the weight of glass, and more impact resistant. Not as rigid as glass or metals. However, it is more rigid than many other plastics such as acetates, polycarbonates or vinyls.
A sheet or plate of 6Al-4V titanium is offered for sale in the size 0.160 x 11 7/8 x 24 1/2 inches. The size is nominally 0.160 inches thick. There was some marking of 0.165 on the sheet, but I could not measure it myself.
