I acquired this a number of years ago in an action lot and have no history on where it came from or what is was being used for. I believe it was either a food well in a buffet or steam table or a Deep Well for ice but that is just my guess. Certainly it would work great for those applications but I can also think of many uses for such a generous and convenient size of Stainless Steel tub, tank, sink, well, or pan.
