I HAVE FOR SALE AN AMAZING 5HP GALLOWAY HIT AND MISS GAS ENGINE. THIS ENGINE IS CONSIDERED THE "TRANSITION" STYLE ENGINE. THIS EXAMPLE FEATURES AN I-BEAM ROD WHERE THESE MODEL'S COMMONLY HAD THE ROUND ROD. SO IT CAN BE SAID...THIS IS ON THE TAIL END OF THE EARLY STYLE GALLOWAY'S BEFOER THE LATER "MASTERPIECE" LINE WAS INTRODUCED. THE SERIAL # IS 19106. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THIS ENGINE. IF YOU LIKE CORRECT ORIGINAL ENGINES THIS IS FOR YOU. THE CART,BATTERY BOX AND SWITCH, MUFFLER,PULLEY, MIXER, FUEL TANK, MIXER AND CART HANDLE ARE ALL CORRECT ORIGINAL TO THE ENGINE. I HAVE RAN THIS ENGINE AND I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH IT. IF YOU ARE STARTING THIS ALONE YOU WILL NEED THE COMPRESSION RELEASE OPENED AS I CANNOT START THIS ALONE MYSELF. IT HAS A MAD AMOUNT OF COMPRESSION. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING CRAKED BROKEN OR REPAIRED ON THIS GALLOWAY. WITH THE LONG ROD THIS ENGINE COASTS WELL AND RUNS SMOOTH. MANY PEOPLE HAVE COMMENTED ON THE FACTORY WOOD SHOE MADE FOR THE FLYWHEEL. THIS IS A BALANCE THING DONE AT THE FACTORY AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER, AND ALSO THE WOODEN BLOCK UNDER THE CLYLINDER FOR SUPPORT. PLEASE NOTE THE ROCKER ARM OR ROCKER STAND IS NOT BROKEN AS ALMOST ALL ARE, SO CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY. THE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPIONTED WITH THIS QUALITY PIECE.
