HPC Keying Kit Assortment for Yale Locks with .115” Diameter Pins / Rekey, Rebuild & Restore / # YPA-115 Remarkable condition. Lightly used & carefully maintained. Over 95% full. When my father retired he needed something to putter around with. After noting articles & ads for sharpening, locksmithing & woodworking, he bought some of the more popular tools and supplies. Unfortunately his health declined not long after so everything was still in near-new condition when he was no longer able to get around. Moreover, he was famous for his obsession with neatness. His tools and supplies are undoubtedly the best condition you'll ever come across. Sadly my folks have recently passed and I'm going through the old house. This is a Keying Kit made by HPC for Yale brand locks utilizing their more popular pin tumbler diameter of .115” These locks are incredibly popular and found on countless homes built during the '50s, '60s, '70s '80s & '90s. My Dad's kit was only used a handful of times. As you can see from the photos it's still 95% or better full and is still in near-new condition. The quantities are so substantial that this kit weighs almost 2 pounds. This kit is a must if you're involved in the rekeying or servicing these popular Yale knob or deadbolt locks. This kit includes substantial quantities of 10 different size bottom pins, 4 different size master pins, 3 different size top pins, plus a substantial quantity of phosphor bronze pin tumbler springs. The original case is in great condition and still shuts tightly. I found a vintage locksmith supply catalog among my Dad's items that's dated 1985. As you can see from the latter photos this kit sold for $44.00 way back then. The US Government's online inflation calculator shows that this translates to over $97 today after 30 years of inflation. The old catalog shows the case made from molded plastic. My Dad's, however, is superior in that it has a very high quality metal case with a piano-type hinge, so it may be a year or two older than this catalog.
