 old  john deere  hit n miss  magneto    i did take it  apart  cleaned out a bunch of  bugs  that died  in it  there  has  no rust  etc  in  side   put it back togetor  oiled  it  turns  good  now im no expert on this type  but i  can tell  you  it  wont  shock you  or  jump a  spark plug  and i dont  think  it was designed to ???   i did  put a  good  dig  meter to ground  and to  the  stud   and  the meter  moved and  down  so i think it  works   in the last  pic  i did notice  that  it  had  a crack  in the  end  plate  it  stays all togetor  but it  does have a crack     the bottom mount  threads  look  good    but  like all my  stuff  your  buying it as is  like i  did
