for sale is this fully functional Hexagon / Leica Geosystems DL2 Diode Laser Pointer The laser eyepiece can be used with there theodolites, total stations and levels ... all you need is the bayonet style eyepice ... it will even fit most Wild Heerbrugg instruments out of the user manual: Introduction The Diode Laser pointer (DL2) has been developed for geodetic, civil engineering and industrial applications. The DL2 may be mounted on the place of the standard theodolite eyepiece. A small box accompanying the eyepiece enables the intensity of the emitted laser beam to be regulated from 0% to 100% depending on the environmental conditions and the application. A major benefit of the DL2 is the absence of any glass fibre optics, which results in an easy and safe handling of the instrument. Typical applications of Diode Laser pointer DL2:Non-contact measurements … when targeting with multiple theodolite systems. If the target is inaccessible, or if surfaces may not be touched, and always if the target cannot otherwise be marked. Setting-out … of points which should be freely positioned in space, e.g. for inspecting existing marks or building points according to design data. Digitizing … with multiple theodolite systems.
