NEW EQUINE DENTAL 22" SIMPLE JOINT MOLAR CUTTER HORSE VETERINARY This is a new 22" simple joint equine dental molar cutter which is designed to cut incisors and small molars. It's a highly polished high quality stainless steel cutter with long permanent handles for good leverage. The open handles help alleviate the concern with pinched fingers. It's made for professional use by experienced practitioners. If you are inexperienced consult an equine veterinarian or equine dental professional. These cutters are available in different gap sizes between the jaws and must be chosen for the size of the tooth being cut in order for the jaws to fit as flush to as much of the tooth as possible. There's a closed jaw cutter with a 0 mm gap between the jaws which we do not have because it's the least used. We do have the following; The 3 mm gap works well on small back ramps and hooks on the lower arcades. The 6 mm gap with the lightly opened jaws works well for lower back ramps. The 9 mm with the open jaws is the widest and is for larger lower protuberant teeth. The gap distances are measured at the front end of the closed jaws (the minimum width.)
