It's a highly polished, high quality stainless steel spreader with long permanent handles for good leverage. It's designed to loosen molars by creating a gap between them before extraction. This spreader is a thick jaw design which can create a wide gap. We also have a thin jaw design molar spreader listed separately which can get between tightly packed molars. It's made for professional use by experienced practitioners. If you are inexperienced consult an equine veterinarian or equine dental professional.
