These are very high quality, matte finish ceramic eggs suitable for agricultural, craft or decorating uses. These Ceramic eggs are painted and fired. They are approximately 2.25 to 2.5 inches long. They are great for training your flock. Fake-dummy eggs are perfect to use in your nesting boxes when you are training your chickens on where to lay there eggs. When there are fake-dummy eggs in your nesting boxes they will learn to lay their eggs right where you want them. This trick has been used for many generations and is proven and works. Using fake-dummy eggs also help keep chickens from cracking there own eggs. When you plant fake-dummy eggs in nesting boxes the chickens will naturally peck at the egg in the beginning. This is a good thing as when they are ready to start laying there own real eggs they will have no desire to peck the real eggs. These are also great if you have snake problems in the hen house. Chicken keep these eggs warm as if they were their own. Snakes can’t tell the difference, and can’t digest the ceramic. Fake-dummy eggs also work great for making all types of crafts and different art projects. I sell my eggs at a very low price because the painting job is not great. These are fired but the paint colors are off and a lot of runny spots and blotches. Believe me the chickens do not notice the difference.
