Pasar Amprobe AT-1000 Advanced Wire Circuit Tracer Kit Complete Works Great. Designed for light commercial/residential applications The Amprobe AT-1000 Advanced Wire Tracer is compact and easy to use for tracing energized and non-energized wires, breakers, coaxial cables, and telephone wires to identify and pinpoint shorts, breakers, open conductors, and fuses from up to 3’ (.91 m) away. The tracer allows the user to manually select current (energized) or open (non-energized) systems.  Five different sensitivity levels allow for use on different types of systems. The tracer is compatible with 0 to 300 volt alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) circuits. The receiver detects a transmitted signal one to three feet from the cable being traced. The receiver indicates signal strength with a series of colored LED lights. The transmitter and receiver are each powered by one 9 volt battery. Circuit breaker tracers identify and locate the correct circuit breaker for a particular electrical outlet. The tracers usually include a transmitter, which plugs into the outlet that is being tested, and a receiver, which is a handheld device used to identify the proper circuit breaker in the fuse box. The correct circuit breaker is indicated by LED lights. These tracers may have automatic or manual sensitivity adjustment for use on different kinds of circuits.
