FREE SHIPPING! This is a GR-130 isotope identifier. It comes complete with the very hard to get Cs-137 check and calibration source sample! As you can see the stabilization works, and  it has a 7+ FWHM resolution which is very good for a scintillation based spectrometer! It comes with the desirable FBIDHSNNSA radioisotope library so it pretty much detects anything relatively common, natural and not. The joystick navigation is a bit tricky to use, but once you learn how to use it,  it's as easy to use as a mouse. You can operate it off 2D cells or 2 AA's with D size adapters, the original battery cover is missing, but the batteries are held in so securely it is not an issue. If it bothers you you could easily make one for it. I used this instrument last summer to see if i could find traces of 137-Cs in a common weed called lambs quarters. The plant was harvested, dried, and ashed to concentrate the minerals for this test. The result was a weak positive Cs-137 spike. Yup it drifted all the way from Fukishima. If you are on the west cost and are being told that the Fukishima radioactive contamination isn't already there, you are being bold faced lied to. It's there, and at amounts that are very easily detectable. What you get, The GR-130 itself, 2AA-D cell adapters, 2AA batteries, and the Cs-137 test source as shown. If you use buy it now, i'll include Ra226, Th-232, and Am 241 as well. If you want that extra special fiestaware plate see my other listings. This item is extremely rare and hard to find calibrated with the test source and all. If you are local to the Madison area I'd be willing to demo this unit for you and consider partial or full trades. I have lots of lasers, Geiger counters, and other unique stuff for sale this week.
