This double sanitary tee is cross shaped and has four ends to connect and branch four pipes, two on the main run and two to connect to two separate smaller diameter pipes. Internal construction of the branches moves the flow at a gradual angle to prevent clogging. The hub connections slide over the end of male unthreaded pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow. This fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for use in non-pressure residential drain, waste, vent (DWV) sanitary systems. PVC resists corrosion and chemicals, exhibits high strength, and weighs less than fittings made from metal. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. The fitting has an operating temperature range of 73 to 140 degrees F (23 to 60 C).
