I have one of these running. It has been up for two years without interruption; providing two services: Random number generation for the Princeton Noosphere project and environmental data trend info. This model is generally considered to be the best of best; the 300s are great, but lack the educational features which make this so good. Take a look at the display. It WILL get you used to interchangeable reading in counts per minute and counts per seconds. It is possible to install a NiCad battery back for rechargeable portable use. Personally, I believe using a variable output transformer is a much better idea. Nicads are no bueno. Download the software from spectech.com. This is a craaaaazy bargain for a high rolla like myself. I mean, the power supply itself cost me 40 bucks, and that's a 300 dollar probe!!! Enjoy!
