This is a Kitagawa F1546-M55 hydraulic actuator in "parts only condition" that was removed from my early 80's Okuma LB-15. We lost control of a bar during machining (bar whip) which caused the "piston" rod or tube (piece that connects to the drawtube) to deform slightly and bend at the very back of the unit. The deformation was enough to create a bad vibration in the machine with the spindle on, however not bad enough to render the unit completely inoperable.
