Designed for the Professional Surveyor, the Trimble 3603 DR Reflectorless Total Station is ideal for any surveying application. Whether it be the tightest control survey, high volume construction staking or a boundary survey with 3 second angular accuracy and its rugged design, the 3603 DR is suitable for use in the toughest environments. Trimble 3603DR can stand up to any wet weather condition that can occur in the field, giving the benefit of not experiencing down time due to inclement weather. With on-board data collection capability, simple operations can be achieved by selecting the necessary functions, such as data collection, layout and memory manager routines from the main menu. A large easy-to-see and quick operation with wide graphic LCD display, that allows the user to view the necessary information at a glance and provides easy key operation. For enhanced operation in the field, the internal memory stores up to 8,000 points in the 3603 DR for data recording. Data transfer to a personal computer is possible with the RS-232C interface cable. When using a single prism, you can measure as far as 8,200 feet at once, with an accuracy of ±(1+1ppm x D)mm. From extra long distances to remarkably short ones, Trimble 3603 DR offers accurate reflectorless measurement which enables you to measure to any object within 393 feet, with no need for a prism. The option opens up new applications, including building elevation surveys, tunnel profiling, measuring to objects on private land, and safe positioning of points in active traffic. The 3603 DR uses a precision internal dual-axis tilt sensor to provide automatic compensation for both vertical and horizontal angles to ensure superior accuracy even when the instrument is out of level.
