New aluminum replacement pull rod for operating the rear clamp block on your Delta Unisaw fence This is the 1/4" diameter x 32" long rod that pulls the fence clamp tight on the rear rail of your early Delta Unisaw. The early style fence that our aluminum rod is to be used with is shown in photo #2. This fence is identified by the presence of the small rear clamp tighening knob above the lever lock at the operator side. Our replacement rod is made from 6061 aircraft quality aluminum and has been forged with the correct flatten area and slot to accept the cam lever in the rear clamp block. The operator end of the rod is threaded 1/4-20 to accept the stock knurled knob. NOTE: Even though the dimensions are correct, our aluminum rod is not intended to be used with the newer Jet-lock fences that have only one lever to lock the fence at both the front and rear rails. If improperly adjusted, these newer fences have enough leverage that they can break the rod and/or distort the cam at the rear block. This rod will work with the stock Unisaw rear clamp block as well as our all new billet aluminum clamp block. One of the photos shows the three parts that comprise the rear clamp block, including the end of a stock steel pull rod. Our aluminum rod replaces this rod. Another photo shows the pull rod installed in the billet clamp block. The rod is securely packaged on a custom fitted wood board to prevent damage during shipment.
