Overview GenY32 is our latest high performance 4-Axis Bipolar Smart Stepper Motor controller, with on board 32 bit processor (AT32UC3C2512), running GStep, grbl (4-axis version) or tinyg (an embedded G Code processing application) , uSD adapter for loading G Code programs directly from a uSD card, USB interface, Joystick interface, limit switch inputs, aux IO outputs and two 3A Power MOSFET outputs and a standard DB25 parallel port interface.  This card runs G Code directly.  You can send G Code to it using either the Universal G Code Sender or our own Windows GUI application while still preserving the use of Mach3 or EMC2 with the parallel port interface.    GenY32 has four TB6560 bipolar drivers with DIP switch settings for step mode, torque and decay.  An on board switching power supply converts 12-35V DC to 5V logic power and power for the stepper motor drivers.  An analog joystick interfacue supports our CJ14 4-Axis joystick and a smart joystick interface is available for our CJ34 joystick or a new Color Touch Screen Pendant (available in October).   GenY32 is essentially a MK4cp + 4 MM160's upgraded with a  32 bit processor , joystick and USB 2.0 interface while still preserving the benefits of a parallel port interface to allow continued use of Mach3/EMC2 but with the ability to migrate to new embedded G Code processing in the future. GStep Support GStep is our 6-axis embedded G Code processing engine.  GStep supports both standalone G Code execution and can communicate with a Mach3 plugin to allow Mach3 to control the board.  The Mach3 plugin is a free download.  Switching between standalone GStep operation or Mach3 operation is automatic.  GStep supports G Code execution from files stored on the onboard uSD. grbl Support grbl is an open source embedded G Code application that has been ported to GenY32.  Our grbl port has been extended to support four axis.   tinyg Support tinyg has been ported to GenY32.  tinyg is an open source G Code application that communicates with the desktop using either tgFX, JCNC or Chilipeppr.  tinyg is a significant upgrade to grbl support 6-axis, jerk compensation and JSON protocol messaging.  With a JSON server it is possible to use a new browser based GUI called Chilipeppr running on a PC or a Raspberry PI.  For additional information search tinyg and Chilipeppr online. Support for G Code execution from onboard uSD for grbl or tinyg is not available at this time but will be in the version release of both applications. A batch file based application loader supplied by Atmel is used to load GStep, grbl or tinyg onto the board.  By default the board is shipped with GStep.    Documentation GenY32 Technical Reference Manual:                    GenY32 Technical Manual (pdf) Mach3 Plugin (V0.95) with GStep (V2.05):             GenY32 Mach3 Plugin (zip) GRBL AVR Studio 6.1 Project Source Code:         GenY32 GRBL AS6.1 Project V1.00 (zip) Options GenY32 is available with an optional custom CNC'd heat sink with or without a fan.
