Beautiful MEIJI EMF Stereo Microscope (Stereomicroscope) on Meiji Incident Light Stand Without Eyepieces Black/White Stage Plate (Black on one side white on the other) The microscope's cosmetic condition is excellent (see photographs). It provides sharp single 3D images, as expected from Meiji. Eyepiece tubes have been protected from dust by the plastic covers shown in the last photograph. These covers are not part of this listing. This MEIJI EMF stereomicroscope has a 1X objective, and can be used with, e.g., 5x, 10, 15x, 20x, etc. eyepieces to provide the magnification needed. No eyepieces are provided in this listing. The single objective magnification insures a greater sharpness than might be present with a zoom lens, similar to the situation with a fixed magnification prime lens versus a zoom lens in photography. The microscope on its stand, without eyepieces, weighs about 7 pounds 8.8 ounces. Working height is about 13-3/4 inches, and working distance is approximately 4 inches. It comes with angled eyepieces for ease of use and with rack and pinion focusing, a drop protection ring with knurled screw, a removable stage plate that is black on one side and white on the other and that is secured by a knurled screw on the front of the base. The interpupilary distance between eyepiece lenses is adjustable, and the left lens allows for diopter adjustment. The binocular body is rotatable through 360 degrees. The photograph through the microscope was taken with 10x eyepieces from another stereomicroscope.
