Dark Grey BAUSCH & LOMB Greenough Stereomicroscope with Four Insert and Replaceable Objective Pairs Three Mounted at one Time __________ It is supplied, as are all Greenough stereomicroscopes, with dual porro prisms. This Greenough microscope is named after its American inventor Horatio Saltonstall Greenough. The microscope, has two dual 12x eyepieces. It is substantial and weighs approximately 10 pounds 8 ounces, with three objectives mounted. It is approximately 11 inches tall in working position with 2x objective, as shown. It incident light base is approximately 5-1/4 inches across and its clear glass stage plate is about 4-1/2 x 5 inches. The stand allows for a variety of objects with differing heights to be examined. The microscope comes with three objective pairs mounted: 0.66x, 2x, and 1.3x. Also included in the sale is a 3x objective pair which can be exchanged with one of those mounted. Thus, this instrument provides four magnification options. The picture, seen through this microscope using the 0.66x objective, is of a portion of the seal on a US $1.00 bill. The bill is not included in this sale. The microscope allows for adjustments for interpupillary distance. One eyepiece lens allows independent adjustment of focus, to accommodate differences in visual acuity between left and right eyes.
